Aurora Access

Accessible software development, research, and publishing. Because access should never be an afterthought.

Aurora Access exists to prove that AI and software development can be genuine tools of independence for people with physical disabilities. Founded by Tommy, a developer, researcher, and disability advocate living with spastic cerebral palsy, Aurora Access doesn’t just talk about accessibility. It builds it, studies it, and publishes what it learns so the conversation stops happening without the people it’s actually about.

The work spans three lanes: developing software and AI-driven systems designed around real accessibility needs, conducting practical research into how emerging technology impacts the daily lives of disabled individuals, and publishing original insight that puts lived experience on the record. Aurora Access exists because waiting for the industry to catch up was never an option.

What We Do

Development

We build tools and systems that close the gap between capability and access. AI-powered workflows, adaptive interfaces, and infrastructure designed for people who need technology to work harder for them. Accessibility isn’t a feature we add. It’s where we start.

Research

We study how AI and emerging technologies can serve as genuine accessibility tools for people with physical disabilities. Not theoretical. Not detached. Practical research driven by lived experience, focused on what actually works when your body doesn’t do what you need it to.

Publishing

We share what we learn. Aurora Access publishes original insight, analysis, and firsthand knowledge about how artificial intelligence is positively impacting the lives of individuals with disabilities. The conversation about AI and accessibility is happening, but too often without the people who actually live it. We’re changing that by putting our experience, our data, and our perspective on the record.
